Wilhelmina Crossing the 7 Mile Bridge

Exterior mural, acrylic on stucco · 1997

Painted in July 1997 on the wall of Bobby's Monkey Bar, Rick Worth's mural recasts Washington Crossing the Delaware as a Key West voyage beneath the Seven Mile Bridge. In augmented reality the water moves, the clouds drift, the flag lifts and light travels through the bridge arches while every painted figure stays exactly as Worth left it.
